Snowshoe Mountain, located in the Allegheny Mountains of Pocahontas County, WV, is the premier winter resort in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic; Offering winter enthusiasts 57 slopes and trails, a 1500 ft vertical drop, a 300 half pipe and a 7 lane tubing hill. Snowshoe also offers a complete winter and summer adventure experience. With our Outdoor Adventure Program you can hop on a snowmobile and take a tour into the back country, or you can strap on some snowshoes or cross country skis and get an up close and personal tour of the breathtaking scenery of our 1100 acres. For the more romantic souls, Snowshoe offers horse drawn sleigh rides around the mountain. But that's not all, Snowshoe offers something for the less adventurous. PROPERTY NOTES-Accommodations * #1 Village at Snowshoe (Rimfire & Highland House) - the signature lodging facilities on the mountain; Rimfire Lodge and Highland House, located in the Village at Snowshoe right in the center of the mountain, offer upscale lodging options complete with daily maid service, private hot tubs, work out rooms, private parking and many other conveniences. Located above the Village at Snowshoe, these two complexes are slope side and just steps away from great shopping and dining in the Village.
#2 Inn at Snowshoe - located at the base of the mountain, the Inn at Snowshoe is your typical hotel complex; the Inn offers affordable lodging with all the comforts you would find at a mid-scale hotel; the Inn features a full service restaurant, bar, work out facility, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and gift shop.
#3 Spruce Lodge - affordable, slope-side lodging, located between the Shavers Center and the Village of Snowshoe adjacent to Skidder Slope (our main beginners ski trail). Spruce Lodge is our "no-frills" lodging option for the guest who is willing to sacrifice the lodging experience for a great skiing experience.
#4 Silver Creek Lodge - the perfect location for families. Silver Creek lodge, with over 600 condo units, features a large lobby area with three shops, a restaurant and lounge area. Silver Creek also features a private pool, hot tub, sauna and work out facility, the Silver Creek lodge is located adjacent to Ruckus Ridge, our branded family attraction. Ruckus Ridge consists of night skiing, snow tubing, Kids World and the Mountaineer Terrain Park.
