Located on twenty-three acres in suburban Detroit, the historic Dearborn Inn was built by Henry Ford in 1931 in the Georgian architectural style. The Inn has been renovated and added on to in the years since then and now features a variety of guest rooms and suites including a concierge level. Five cottages located in a garden setting behind the hotel are reproductions of the historic homes of famous Americans Barbara Fritchie, Patrick Henry, Edgar Allen Poe, Walt Whitman and Oliver Wilcox. The Dearborn Inn's extensive meeting space includes the lovely Alexandra Ballroom designed by Henry Ford himself. Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum and IMAX Theatre are across the street with downtown Detroit just twelve miles northeast.
