The Retreat is located on the shores of 8,700-acre Lake Blackshear inside Georgia Veteran's State Park. Created in 1930 by damming the Flint River, the Lake north of Highway 280 is a natural habitat for fish and wildlife. Home to several national bass fishing tournaments, the lake is a fisherman's paradise with sunfish, perch, crappie, catfish and several species of bass. The Normandy Ballroom can be divided into three separate rooms for smaller groups, and one of the side rooms can divide into 2 smaller rooms.
