We are a small lodge (twenty seven) rooms with a variety of room styles, each individually decorated with custom furniture and artwork. Reputed as the finest accommodations in the Heart of the Rockies, we take great pride in being consistently rated by AAA as a three diamond property, the premiere lodging in Salida. Guest may choose from a standard room with a king or queen bed, to a large suite or private cottage, all with air conditioning, thermostatically controlled heat and direct touch tone phones. Our spacious meeting room is perfect for group gatherings.
Located at the foot of the Upper Arkansas Valley where the Sawatch, Sangre de Cristo and the Mosquito Ranges converge, Salida is known for its mild climate and more than three hundred days of sunshine per year. The area caters to the outdoor enthusiast, with fishing, kayaking, or rafting on the Arkansas River. Hiking, mountain climbing, biking, and jeep tours to old mining towns are also popular activities. The Monarch ski area, with its superb snow conditions, (only twenty minutes from the lodge) one can participate in nordic or alpine skiing and snowmobiling. The Hot Springs Pool, golf course, visitors center and restaurants are also minutes away. The largest historic district in the state, Salida is a charming town of antique shops, boutiques and beautiful victorian homes.
