El Encanto Hotel & Garden Villas, first built in 1915, opened its doors as a hotel in 1918. The hotel is a charter member of Historic Hotels of America, and on the National Trust for Historic Preservation Register. The historical architecture is both Craftsman-Cottage style and Spanish Colonial Revival for which Santa Barbara is famous. Clusters of cottages and villas make up 84 unique and charming accommodations. Acres of lush gardens surround this well-known romantic landmark in Southern California.
