In the summer, pan for gold, take a scenic hike or enjoy the Chena river on a sternwheeler riverboat. In the winter, dog sled rides, cross country/alpine skiing or soaking in a natural hot springs can be part of your frosty winter fun. Of Course, between August and April, the greatest show on earth is the Northern Lights! As they say..”No admission fees, no lines and the show runs an average of 240 days per year!” They are spectacular! For a true Alaskan experience, charter a bush plane and fly north above the Arctic Circle to explore a native village. To the south, Mt.
