The hotel is situated in one of the first residential buildings built in Barcelona's Example district by Catalan architect Josep Cerda. Constructed in 1864 in an eclectic style of classical inspiration, it has been classified as a historic monument. It is the only building that still retains the splendid paintings and ornaments of the original fatade, which has been totally renovated. The hotel is furnished, in a modern and elegant style.
