A magic word for discovering Sardinia: Arba at Ashar.It sounds like a magic spell – and perhaps it is. It’s the old name for Arbatax, in Sardinia, set along the eastern coast which is an island intact within the Island. It’s an Arab word and means the fourteenth tower, the fourteenth of those towers which stood sentinel along the coast to check Saracen invasions.
