The hotel Amalfi run by the family Lucibello, also owners, has offered its warm hospitality since 1972.The building is an old,completely restored pasta factory situated in the quarter called "TRUGLIO" and is accessible by the main street Via Lorenzod'Amalfi.The term Truglio is an onomatopoeic word deriving from the Arabic language indicating the boiling of the mixture of water and flourin the preparation tubs. Thanks to its old destination the hotel stands in a cool and dry place in the very centre of the town at a few meters distance from the Arab-Norman Cathedral overlooking the main square fromits imposing flight of steps.Also the beaches and piers to Salerno, Naples, Ischia, Capri and Positano are near the hotel as well as the bus terminals and parkings and all the services useful to those who choose the sejourn in the most ancient of the Italian sea republics.The simply but tastefully furnished 40 rooms have WC/shower, telephone, satellite-TV,safe,a lot with air-conditioning on payment.Some rooms have balconies livelily coloured with eraniums.
