The Express by Holiday Inn Luzern is ideally located on the rest area Luzern-Neuenkirch (Highway A2 - Germany-Switzerland-Italy) between the exits Sempach and Emmen-Nord, only 12 km north of the world famous city of Lucerne. The hotel can be reached from either direction via the overhead bridge connecting the east and west side. Continue your journey in either direction after checking out of the hotel. Free parking spaces are available in front of the hotel. All 60 modern smoking and non-smoking rooms are equipped with queen size or twin beds, bathroom with shower, direct dial telephone, work desk with modem connection, colour TV, in house movies, radio, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer. Family rooms with one queen size bed and one queen size sofa bed as well as four rooms for the physically challenged are also available. The complimentary breakfast buffet is served in the great room from 6:30am to 10:00am (on Saturday and Sunday till 11:00 am. The world famous city of Lucerne is a 15 minute drive away from the hotel. Visit the chapel bridge, the lion monument, the historic old city, the museums (the museum of art, the museum of transport, the museum of history..to name an few), the many churches...or take a boat round trip and enjoy the breathtaking scenery around the Lake of Lucerne. Day trips to mountains like the Pilatus, the Rigi, the Jungfraujoch or the Burgenstock are possible from the hotel. The front office staff will be glad to assist you.
