Do You Know The Signs Of Diabetes In Women?

Did you know, thirst and hunger can be signs of diabetes?

If you think the signs and symptoms of diabetes are the same for both men and women, you’re partially right and partially wrong. While men and women share some similarities, the signs of diabetes in women can and do differ from those in men. It’s important for women to understand all the signs of diabetes, because they may be the key to early detection and treatment.

First, let’s discuss some of the signs of diabetes common in both men and women. These include increased thirst and hunger, weight loss or gain, fatigue, increased urination, slow healing of wounds, nausea and/or vomiting, blurry vision, sweet-smelling breath, poor circulation, irritability, and sometimes skin infections or skin irritation.

The signs of diabetes in women include all of the above as well as urinary infections, polycystic ovary syndrome, female sexual dysfunction, and vaginal and oral yeast infections. These unique signs of diabetes are often the ones that cause women to seek help.

The Unique Differences Defined

Yeast Infections

Thrush and other yeast infections are common signs of diabetes in women. This occurs with diabetes because the high blood sugar levels found in the body push glucose into the urine. The glucose helps form a habitable environment for yeast to grow, as is the case with vaginal thrush.

If you think you have a vaginal yeast infection, check your symptoms. Thrush and similar infections cause soreness and itching in the vaginal area, a white discharge and a curd-like discharge on the skin, painful intercourse, and red skin in the affected area. Similar symptoms can also occur with oral yeast infections.

Female Sexual Dysfunction

Female sexual dysfunction, also known as FSD, affects your sexual activity. It causes a lack of sexual desire, painful intercourse, and difficulty with arousal and climax. This is mainly because the high blood sugar levels associated with diabetes tend to cause poor circulation and nerve damage. These, in turn, negatively influence your sexual sensations and your body’s natural lubrication.

PCOS & Gestational Diabetes

Polycystic ovary syndrome and gestational diabetes are both reproduction issues that can occur in women due to high blood sugar. Polycystic ovary syndrome, usually referred to as PCOS, is when a woman’s ovaries are prone to an increased occurrence of cysts.

While ovarian cysts aren’t considered abnormal, a woman suffering from PCOS will have an above-average amount of cysts or an increased rate of them. These cysts are basically follicles with eggs in them that are under-developed.

This phenomenon is usually linked to overweight women and those with type 2 diabetes. PCOS, however, can also be present in a woman even if she doesn’t have diabetes.

Gestational diabetes, on the other hand, is a female issue that occurs only during pregnancy. A woman with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes will have an increased chance of gestational diabetes, but there doesn’t need to be a previous diagnosis of either form of diabetes in order for a woman to experience it. Nowadays, gestational diabetes is actually quite common.

This mainly occurs because a woman’s hormones sometimes interfere with insulin use and production which can hinder the body’s response to sugars. If the insulin is being blocked by the altered hormones in a woman’s body, gestational diabetes occurs.

Since blood glucose, as well as ketones, are transferred from mother to child via the placenta, these higher sugar levels can have a negative effect on the fetus and can lead to birth defects.

Unlike type 1 or type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes tends to go away after pregnancy. However, the risk for type 2 diabetes increases.

If you experience any of these unique signs of diabetes in women, be sure to follow up with a medical professional for proper treatment and management.

What’s The Best Way To Lose Weight Quickly And Keep It Off?

Lose weight fast and create a sexy core!

Weight gain is a serious issue affecting millions of people across the globe. Many people constantly look for ways to lose weight and keep it off. It’s no easy task as successful weight loss and weight management requires discipline, commitment, a positive attitude, sacrifice, and determination.

The best way to lose weight quickly and keep it off is by changing your lifestyle. A lifestyle change does not involve magic diet pills or insane workouts that eat up hours of your time and are impossible to stick with long-term. Instead, it simply requires you to coordinate diet and exercise in a way that gives you the desired results.

Stick to a plan and keep a journal to assess your weight loss efforts. Not sure where to start or how to come up with a weight loss plan that will work for you? No worries. This fat diminisher system utilizes a step-by-step method that is super easy to follow, and it works great!

Eating Healthy

Healthy eating requires staying away from processed foods. Instead, eat healthy, unprocessed, and natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and beans, among others.

These highly nutritious foods contain essential nutrients required for bodily functions. They not only help you lose weight and keep it off, but they also reduce aging and inflammation. Plus, natural foods tend to have far fewer calories than processed foods.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, you can lose weight by either consuming fewer calories or by burning up more calories than your body requires. However, you need to do both if you want to lose weight quickly.

According to WebMD, you should avoid foods such as deep fried foods, gluten, sugar, artificial sweeteners, and sugary beverages. We couldn’t agree more!

Some foods (like whole fruits) contain sugar in their natural form and are nutrient-dense, low in glycemic load, and high in fiber. These foods are healthy and help you lose weight quickly and keep it off.

Although not as important as what you eat, exercise is another key ingredient for losing weight quickly. When you combine diet with exercise, you consume fewer calories and quickly burn off excess calories. As a result, your body stays in “fat burning mode” and eliminates fat from your body rather than storing it.

Start by integrating simple exercises into your daily schedule. Then, gradually move on to more challenging or complex exercises. If possible, have at least one session of 20-30 minutes every day.

To lose weight quickly and keep it off, you don’t have to spend a fortune on exercise equipment, personal trainers, or gym and health club memberships. Instead, you can opt for no-cost or low cost activities such as hiking, simple strength-training moves (e.g. push-ups, sit ups, squats), walking, rope jumping/skipping, dancing, or cycling.

You can also engage in simple games like bowling, squash, or badminton. What matters is that you exercise on a regular basis.

Simple diet and lifestyle changes are the best way to lose weight quickly and keep it off. These easy-to-implement changes involve exercising on a regular basis and eating organic and nutritious foods.

When you combine a healthy diet with adequate exercise, you eat fewer calories and burn away the excess that would otherwise get stored as fat. Keep a daily journal so you can easily track the progress of your diet plan and fitness program. That way you can easily adjust when necessary to keep your weight loss goals on target.

Natural Remedies For Erectile Dysfunction: What Works?

Pomegranate Juice For Erectile Dysfunction

Some men with erectile dysfunction swear by this purple juice. But does it really work?

Erectile dysfunction is a big problem, and it has a big impact on the quality of a man’s life. Fortunately, there are effective medications that help to overcome the condition.

Viagra, Cialis, and other related drugs work well. However, there are cases where these medications are not recommended. For example, they are very dangerous for men with low blood pressure and/or diabetes. For other men, side effects from these drugs can be a problem. Also, erectile dysfunction can be caused by other medical conditions, and can go away on its own when the underlying condition is fixed.

Natural remedies for erectile dysfunction exist. In fact, they have a longer history than the drugs mentioned above, and they have the benefit of less side effects. Most natural remedies also offer additional health benefits besides just treating ED.

Before doing anything else, the first step is to see your doctor. You already know that, but it still needs to be said. Yes, it can be an embarrassing conversation topic, but doctors talk about this stuff all day long and they’re quite desensitized by now.

Checking in with your doctor is important because the majority of ED cases are due to other medical conditions, and they can be very serious if left untreated. Some sources suggest that around 70% of ED cases in the US are caused by potentially life threatening conditions. That should motivate you to get checked out!

Fixing ED isn’t always hard. Sometimes all that’s needed is a few simple lifestyle changes, such as getting more exercise, reducing your alcohol intake, stopping the use of hard drugs, or quitting tobacco.

For many cases of ED, natural remedies can be very effective. You may just need to change your diet and put it more in line with the nutrition guidelines found inside the Erectile Dysfunction Protocol by Jason Long. (Read this ED Protocol review for more details.)

Adding the amino acid Arginine to your diet (in supplement form) can also be an effective natural remedy for erectile dysfunction as several studies suggest. A study in 2003 showed that a combination of Arginine and pycnogenol (a pine extract) were very effective together and had no side effects.

Testosterone is a hormone that plays an essential role in male sexual response. It’s not necessary to take testosterone injections to boost the levels of this hormone in your blood. Instead, you can supplement with DHEA, which occurs naturally in wild yam.

DHEA is produced in the body, and is converted into testosterone naturally. When the body doesn’t produce enough of its own DHEA, testosterone levels drop. DHEA from supplements is effective at maintaining healthy testosterone levels. However, there are some indications that the long term use of DHEA actually suppresses the pituitary gland, so this should only be used as a short-term treatment.

Ginseng (especially Korean ginseng) has proven to be effective in traditional Chinese medicine and also in clinical trials. Currently, scientists are not sure exactly how it works.

However, ginseng seems to work well as a natural remedy for erectile dysfunction, and it’s also good for supporting general health. Before you take ginseng, always check with your doctor as some medications interact badly with the herb and can lead to other health complications.

Some people also swear by pomegranate juice as a way to solve erectile dysfunction problems. Pomegranate juice is high in anti-oxidants, which makes it a healthy choice. There are some promising results from clinical trials, but they do not reveal how it works, and the evidence is not conclusive.

There are plenty of other natural remedies for erectile dysfunction, but they have not received as much intensive study. Hopefully they will receive more attention, as the scientific community takes a greater interest in evaluating natural ED treatments.

In the meantime, don’t be afraid to try different natural remedies for ED and see what works for you. Just be careful about what you take, as some harmful drugs are sold by unscrupulous people as “herbal Viagra.” Make sure you only buy supplements from reputable sources, and always check the ingredients to make sure they are safe.
